Every Veterans Day, we recognize the day as a chance to honor the brave men and women who have served in each branch of our military forces. The DogWatch team joins in this salute and extends a heartfelt thanks to all veterans for their courageous service.

Puppies are great, but they’re not the only dogs in need out there! November is Adopt A Senior Pet Month, founded by the ASPCA and Petfinder to bring attention to all of the great senior pets in need of a forever home to live out their golden years. Senior dogs in animal shelters and rescues can have a harder time finding a home than younger pets, despite often being just as affectionate and playful as younger dogs, and usually better behaved, too!

For the 10th year in the a row, the DogWatch® Howl-O-Ween Costume Contest entertained us all October long. We received nearly 200 amazing entries this year, and were thoroughly delighted by all of the adorable, silly, creepy, super-cute and fantastically creative costumes on display. And we want to give a special salute to all of the pets who patiently posed for the photos – these good boys and girls have definitely earned some yummy treats and belly rubs!
