DogWatch 2017 Halloween Photo Contest – ENTER TODAY!

Calling all Halloween-loving pets and pet parents – the DogWatch 2017 Halloween Photo Contest is here! Starting today, share a photo of your dog in his or her costume on our Facebook wall or via Instagram using the hashtag #DogWatchHalloween. Cats and other pet photos are welcome too. Please also include your pet’s name and breed. The DogWatch team will share the photos on Facebook all month long, and after Halloween, we’ll announce the winners.

The first place winner will receive either a gift basket filled with $75 worth of dog treats, toys and goodies OR your choice of a DogWatch Training Product. Additional prizes will be awarded for creativity.

The contest ends at 11:59PM Wednesday, November 1, 2017. Winners will be announced on Friday, November 3, 2017 on our Facebook page and right here on Dog Tails. We look forward to seeing your dogs in their costumes! Read post »

DogWatch Salutes National Mutt Day with the United States of Mutts!

Happy National Mutt Day! Held twice a year on July 31st and December 2nd, this holiday is all about “embracing, saving and celebrating mixed breed dogs,” according to event founder Colleen Paige.

In honor of this fun day, we’ve pulled together a round-up of fabulous mixed breed DogWatch dogs from across the USA! The wide variety of pups we found is a true testament to the unique looks, spirit and personality of mixed breed dogs. Cheers to all our DogWatch mutts, and enjoy your freedom today and every day!

DogWatch’s Highlights from BlogPaws 2017!

What do you get when you combine hundreds of pet bloggers, 62 pet brands, 45 great speakers and 123 fluffy and furry friends? BlogPaws 2017!

2017 was our second year at the annual conference of pet bloggers organized by BlogPaws, a social media company dedicated to educating and inspiring online pet writers. DogWatch Social Media Strategist Jackie attended BlogPaws 2016 in Phoenix, AZ, and had such a great experience that this year, DogWatch decided to attend as a first-time exhibitor. DogWatch Marketing Manager Demie joined Jackie this year at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel in Myrtle Beach, SC. There was another important addition to the team this year – Jackie’s dog Lucy (@lucy_with_the_underbite)! In her pink bowtie and DogWatch bandanna, Lucy was a big hit with all the BlogPaws attendees she met, and she enjoyed making many new friends, human and canine and feline, too! Read post »
