Dog Tails Dog of the Month: Sapphire Blue and Onyx Moon the Great Danes
We have not one but TWO Dog Tails Dogs of the Month for June! Sapphire Blue and Onyx Moon are a pair of 10 month old Great Dane sisters from Pittsburgh, PA. We found them on Instagram, where the pair have attracted over 800 followers with their adorable photos and videos. We reached out to their proud dog dad Jason, and asked him all about his two puppies, their (much smaller) dog sibling, their new DogWatch Hidden Fence, raising Great Danes and making friends on social media. Best in Show at the 2016 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show Goes to…
Congratulations to CJ, a German Shorthaired Pointer, who beat over 3,000 dogs to win the top prize – Best in Show – at the 140th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show last evening at Madison Square Garden in New York City. CJ, a three year-old male who’s full name is CGH VJ-Myst Garbonita’s California Journey, is only the third German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) to win Best in Show at Westminster. He is the grandson of Carlee, who took the Best in Show title at Westminster in 2005.

The 30 Cutest Mixed Breed Dog Names
Ever heard of a Horgi? What about a Cheagle? Or how about a Schnoodle? All three of these are names of mixed breed dogs! Next Friday, July 31 is National Mutt Day, and we decided to kick off the celebration early with this tribute to our favorite mixed breed dogs names. This also gives us a chance to highlight some of the fabulously unique “hybrid” dogs and mystery mixes that are part of the DogWatch Hidden Fences family. 7 New Breeds to Compete in 2016 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show
Recently, the Westminster Kennel Club announced the seven new dog breeds that will compete in next year’s Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, one of the most famous dog shows in the world. These seven new participants include four herding dogs, one working dog, one sporting dog and one hound. Many of these breeds are new to us, too, so we’ve gathered some fun facts about each of the new faces of Westminster. Enjoy, and good luck to all the dogs next February in New York City!
