The Canadian Kennel Club recently released their annual survey of the most popular dog breeds in Canada in 2024.  No surprise, the Labrador Retriever held on to its number one ranking as the most popular dog breed in the country. The beloved Lab has held the top spot on CKC’s list for over two decades.

The big news this year is the rise of the French Bulldog, which rose to fourth on this year’s list. This smart, fun-loving lap dog, also very popular in the United States, continues to gain fans across Canada.
