DogWatch’s Highlights from BlogPaws 2017!

What do you get when you combine hundreds of pet bloggers, 62 pet brands, 45 great speakers and 123 fluffy and furry friends? BlogPaws 2017!

2017 was our second year at the annual conference of pet bloggers organized by BlogPaws, a social media company dedicated to educating and inspiring online pet writers. DogWatch Social Media Strategist Jackie attended BlogPaws 2016 in Phoenix, AZ, and had such a great experience that this year, DogWatch decided to attend as a first-time exhibitor. DogWatch Marketing Manager Demie joined Jackie this year at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel in Myrtle Beach, SC. There was another important addition to the team this year – Jackie’s dog Lucy (@lucy_with_the_underbite)! In her pink bowtie and DogWatch bandanna, Lucy was a big hit with all the BlogPaws attendees she met, and she enjoyed making many new friends, human and canine and feline, too!

In addition to learning more about the ever-changing world of social media, Jackie and Demie enjoyed getting to meet a lot of unique and talented bloggers and many of their adorable pets! We had a constant stream of visitors to our booth and had an opportunity to educate many top “influencers” about our growing family of pet containment and training products, including our new SmartFence.

We also met many bloggers and authors from the Cat Writers’ Association, who joined BlogPaws again this year. Our poster promoting DogWatch for cats attracted many cat-lovers to the booth who had questions about and expressed an interest in both indoor and outdoor systems for cats.

BlogPaws 2017 attendees are a passionate bunch, and their dedication and commitment to celebrating animals, sharing their amazing stories and keeping them safe and happy at home and around the world is truly inspiring. Thanks to all who attended, all those who stopped by to meet us, and all the awesome pets who make our jobs so much fun!
