In Case You Missed It: DogTails’ Most Popular Posts of 2017
Happy New Year, DogTails readers! 2017 was a busy year for us on the blog. We covered popular news stories about dogs, brought you pet safety tips for every season, shared some tasty dog treat recipes, and (hopefully) made you laugh with photos and videos of dogs being dogs. We’ve got a lot of exciting posts planned for 2018, but first, here’s a look at some of our favorite blog posts from the past year. Happy reading!
Pet safety is an important part of DogWatch’s mission. In September, in honor of National Preparedness Month, we compiled some key steps that pet parents can take to keep their pets safe in the event of an emergency. Check it out, plan ahead, and share our Pet Preparedness Checklist infographic with your friends, family and fellow pet parents!
Before the Academy Awards ceremony last March, we rounded up this list of our favorite movies featuring our favorite subject – dogs! These 14 films cover a wide range, but all feature unforgettable dogs who have touched our hearts and tickled our funny bones.
If you’re a dog parent, chances are you had to deal with the unpleasant reality of ticks. The staff at DogWatch has a lot of experience with ticks, both from our customers and our own dogs. Back in May, we showed you how to safely identify and remove them, as well as some tips on how to avoid them in the future.
At DogWatch, it’s our mission to keep dogs safe at home in their yards. So we were definitely intrigued last April when we saw Business Insider‘s list of the dog breeds most likely to run away from home. Check out the top 15, complete with photos of actual DogWatch customers who overcame their wandering ways and are now safe at home thanks to their DogWatch Hidden Fences!
In October, we held our 4th Annual DogWatch Halloween Photo Contest. We asked for the best Halloween photos of pets in costume, and our fans delivered! We received 400 entries, featuring some of the spookiest, funniest, cutest and most creative dog costumes we’ve ever seen! You don’t want to miss these winning photos.
Now that we have looked back at 2017, let us know if there are any topics you’d like us to cover in 2018. We’d love your ideas and input in the comments and on our Facebook page! Thanks!
